Membership

The Chester and District Federation of the Blind is run by and for people who are blind or partially sighted.  Membership is £20 for life for full members or £10 for associate members.  We are keen for people to become members as we are a member led organisation - we want you to guide us.  The question of membership fees was discussed in depth and members felt that by paying a nominal, one off fee they were showing a commitment to the charity.  Membership entitlement includes: the right to vote (full members only), use of charity transport (members have opted to contribute £1 each way in the bus & £2 each way in a private car no matter the distance), one to one IT training, WINI service (What I Need Is) which could be anything from providing transport and support at hospital visits to help putting a piece of flat pack furniture together, members can book on trips or take part in holidays, we hold monthly meetings, twice yearly parties and an annual visit to Sight Village. Our Community Inclusion Team are always on hand to help!  With all the benefits we offer members (and with the lowest membership fees of all organisations in the area) we are certain you'll agree that we offer, not only unrivalled support but incredible value for money!

Please note:  In the case of financial hardship membership fees are waived.
